24th November '99: | ||||
Updated the The No Nonsense Red Hat Installation Guide section of the Newbie's Linux Manual (primarily to take the release of Red Hat 6.1 into account). |
23rd November '99: | ||||
Today sees the introduction of a new (and sorely lacking) section for the Newbie's Linux Manual, going by the simple title: Upgrading Your Kernel. |
22nd November '99: | ||||
There's been many requests for a links section to be included on the site, so today sees the introduction of a new section called The Best Linux Sites. I'll be updating this regularly -- each time I find a site worth mentioning. |
21st November '99: | ||||
Added a new section to the Newbie's Linux Manual, entitled, Lilo Explained. |
16th November '99: | ||||
Added Issue 24 of The Linux Bits to the archive. At over 10,000 words it's by far our biggest issue ever. Hope you like it. |
15th November '99: | ||||
Added a new section to the Newbie's Linux Manual today called Changing Your Default Editor. |
13th November '99: | ||||
Two new sections added yesterday and one more today (The Command History), sees the Newbie's Linux Manual now at 31 sections. It's far from there yet, but I fully intend for this manual to one day be the best of its kind. The manual was the reason for this site's creation, and the reason for the manual was to create Linux Nirvana for the newbie. Am I arrogant? Perhaps. |
12th November '99: | ||||
It's been a while now, but I finally got the time to adding two new sections to the Newbie's Linux Manual, entitled Automating Things With Cron, and Introduction to Perl. |
9th November '99: | ||||
During the last few days I've been converting every GIF on the site to PNGs to do my bit for the Burn All GIFs cause, and today I uploaded an entire new copy of the site with all the necessary changes made. There's still a few GIFs left but I'll be incinerating them as soon as I get the chance. Any webmasters out there that care about our Net should definitely consider doing the same. |

7th November '99: | ||||
6th November '99: | ||||
Today sees the introduction of The Daily Linux News Archive. Apologises for the lack of updates to the site. Nothing sidetracks me more than programming, and over the last week, I've developed a fanatical interest for Perl. |
2nd November '99: | ||||
Added the April and May pages to the Beyond The Last 5 Days section. |
